Kronobergs regemente I11

The regiment traced its heritage to the fänika (tactical unit used in the late dark ages) raised in the 1500:s in Småland. These where used by Gustaf II Adolf to create a regiment in Kalmar and Kronoberg. In 1623 this regiment was split in two smaller regiments of wich one became Kronobergs regiment. The other became Kalmar regiment. The first commander was the later well known Herman Wrangel. In 1920 the regiment was located in Växjö and in 1925 it absorbed the Karlskrona grenadierregiment. Kronobergs regiment was disbanded in 1990.

The regiments colors were red and yellow.
