Hälsinglands regemente I14

 

The regiment traces its heritage to the fänika (a tactical unit used in the late dark ages) that was raised during Gustav Vasa reign. The oldest document are from 1552. In 1615 these where used to raise a regiment that was devided into two smaller regiments in 1624. One of these was named Hälsinge regiment and had Lennart Torstensson, later a famous commander of the thirty  year war, as its first commander. The other regiment became Västerbottens regiment. The regiment was located in Gävle and was disbanded in 1994.

The regiments colors was black and white.
