The Swedish Royal Navy

I made my service as a radio-operator onboard T-105 HMS Regulus in 1959-60.
HMS Regulus was a T boat in the Swedish Navy.
12 of these fine ships were built by Luerssen Warf in Bremen, Germany and launched between 1953 -57. They were all named after well-known stars;  T 101 Perseus, T 102 Plejad, T 103 Polaris, T 104 Polux, T 105 Regulus, T 106 Rigel, T 107 Aldebaran, T 108 Altair, T 109 Antares, T 110 Arcturus, T 111 Argo and T 112 Astrea. Today only T 121 Spica remains, now as an operating museum ship.
The diplacement was 175 tons and measured all over lenght 48 m, beam 5,8 m and depth 1,6 m. The two machine-rooms were equipped with 2 + 1 Daimler-Benz diesel-motors, each Boosting 3000 Hp. The three propellers gave the ship a peace time speed of 39 knots. She carried 2 Bofors 40 mm anti aircraft guns M/48, 6 torpedo tubes 53,3 cm TT M/50 and 2 10,3 cm rocket launching units.
The crew counted 33 men. Two radio-operators onboard and in the radio-room you could find one Philips 125 w HF transmitter, 2 receivers GEC BR-400.
For VHF there were 3 units SCR-525 (US surplus).
