#ircchess is a new channel (founded on may the 3 1998) and the goal is simpel. To make it a channel where you will always find someone to play chess with.

You dont need to be a "chessmaster" to play here, everyone is welcome from beginners to experts.

Operators: The operators are choosen not for there chess knowledge, but rather for how dedicated they are to the channel, how much time they spend there, how helpful they are, and for the dedication to get new players to discover #ircchess and ofcourse the need for new ops are altso assential.
