Rajoitus started back in 1993 (ten years too late) but with a different drummer
Today's Line-up contains of us four:
CHRIS-Elbas / JANI-Voice / PENA-Battery / MARKO N-Guitar

The story behind the birth of Rajoitus was when Jani & Pete (our first guitarist) was drinking & partying to some old Finn-HC, and suddenly it hit them that the Swedish-"Scene" had almost no bands left who played that kind of music, since they all gave up back in the late 80's, all they had left to drink to was the old recordings of:Terveet Kädet / Riistetyt / Kaaos / Sekunda / Rattus / Varaus / Kansan Uutiset / Tampere SS / Kuolema.... well the list goes on and on......

The point is that they were thirsty for more old style punk and hardcore.
So they came up with the idea to start a band.
They convinced two more people to join up with them (may I add, it wasn't too hard to convince them ;-), they rehearsed for a year or so, until their drummer had to move away to Stockholm then the band was put on ice. By that time they had managed to get together a couple of songs.

Well, still when they were without a drummer they tried to rehearse once in a while, just to keep the corpse moving.

A couple of months after that I guess they got pretty desperate, they needed one more member to thrash the drums so sometime after that I was asked to play drums with them, temporary, and I joined in, and I'm still there.

About three weeks after I joined up with the Finn-pigs, we went into a studio to make a recording... Imagine, good people, I had never really played the drums before and had to give it my best !!!
We did the recording and made a demo out of it called "Tuomittu Epäuskon Sortoon", which originally was supposed to be distributed among our friends only.
But we did send off a couple of tapes to different labels, among them Distortion Records. I think it might have been about 2-4 weeks before Jani got a call from a very enthusiastic Mats Bodenmalm. He claimed that it sounded really early and he was eager to release it. So we agreed, it turned out as a 12" record on Distortion records, called "Hardcore Attack 1995".

Sometime after, we heard from Olivier in France, he runs a distro called Sludge Rec's, he said he wanted to release a 7" with Rajoitus and that was really OK with us, we didn't really know what kind of a person he was. We made a second recording and sent it down to France, then the rumors came rolling in from people who had been in contact with him, warning us for that label. Seemed he was pretty good at ripping people off! Well, by that time it was to late to say no, he had already sent it out to the printing, all we could do right now was to hope he wouldn't fuck us over.[*sigh*] He didn't, we got our share of the deal and he even wanted one of our songs to attend on a compilation released by him, It was the cover we did on Avskum's "Vem har gett dom rätten".

Today, I'm not really sure if he has ripped us off, we heard from people that wrote directly to Sludge asking for the "Historia Kusessa" 7-inch and that he claimed it was sold out. And about six months after that, people began writing to tell us they recently bought the 7-inch from Sludge and wanted to order the 12" from us. Strange isn't it, first it ain't there and then six months later it is ! We haven't got any share from that 2nd pressing (or 3d) and Olivier hasn't contacted us about this, so I can't say with 100% accuracy that he has repressed it without our knowledge.
