Keyser (formerly King Here After) consists of Mats Bengtsson, guitar, Pervolator Dalhielm, singing, Henrik Larsson, guitar, Anders Leffler, bass and Johan Sundberg, drums. All of us but Anders have played together since the late 80's. First we called ourselves Hazeland, but that rather gloomy name was substituted around 90 to King Here After, which is - among other things - a quote from Shakespeare's Macbeth. During a period 92-93 the name was shortened to Here After only, but the 'King' was soon reinstated.

Our group's name was under investigation another time, when we were about to record the album. The company didn't really like King Here After, so we tried to find out the essence of our music and to translate that feeling into words. It wasn't easy and not too successful either. Good names did come up, but none of them appealed to all of us at the same time. The company had a few dazzling suggestions as well, such as Soda Pop, Space Bar Chat, Moon Jive and Hip Noses. The company obviously never understood what our music was about, but they knew why they disliked the name King Here After - it is too complicated. I probably won't need to stress our dismay to the suggested names. They are not all bad names, although most of them really suck. The main problem is still that they don't fit, and never will fit our music. This kind of idiosyncrasy is what we mostly dealt with during nearly two years as a signed band.

Finally during the summer of 1997 we had to change our group name, since King Here After somehow confused a critic to judge our music as close to Queensrÿche's!!! We wouldn't like that to happen again so now we're Keyser (the name was in fact suggested by our dear friend, ex bass-player, driver, cover-designer Fredrik Nilsson).
