Swissair MD-11, HB-IWA (msn 48433). Swissair's first MD-11 (here displayed in the carriers old colours) takes off from Zürich. Swissair is by far the largest MD-11 operator in Europe, soon consisting of 20 of the type, when the four to be bought from LTU, has been delivered. But Swissair has already selected a replacement for the MD-11, a mix of Airbus A330 and A340.
