How to beat me!
Is he out of his minds? You think. No, but I want to be a better chessplayer! If my opponent knows my weaknesses and exploits them, I get some practice and, I hope, become a stronger player. The whole idea is to strengthen the weakest spot.
First I will tell You how I play: As white my main opening is the English 1.c4. Sometimes I try 1.e4 or 1.d4 but I’m lousy in theory and the English opening don't demand much theory. If You try to trick me into Queens Gambit with Nf6 followed by e6 I play 1.c4, 2.Nc3 and 3.e4. If you try 1.e6 followed by 2.d5 I play the exchange variation.
As black against 1.e4 I mostly play the Pirc Defense. Sometimes I try 1.e6, 2.b6 with pressure on e4 but that’s more a surprise weapon. Now and then I try the Sicilian with e6, a6, Qc7.
Against 1.d4 I have no opening at the moment! I play Benoni, Nimzo/Queens Indian and sometimes even Kings Indian! My problem is I’m poor at theory. If I find a strange opening I play it as long as no sacrifices are involved!
Against 1.c4 I have even less than against 1.d4. Maybe I try the Dutch for a while!?
My weaknesses are poor at theory, hate positions where everything hangs and Rook-endgames. I don’t like simple positions like the one in exchange French or CaroKann. I am a positional attacking player who always try to have a good endgame in the pocket. This makes me terrified of doubled pawns for instance.
Now I can’t remember more. I hope this will help us both.
