I am refering to subway stations, because even if you walk, they have maps, as does most bus-stations. Any price-comparasion in the text is done in relation to other stores in Stockholm or Sweden.

1. Tradition.

Take the subway to T-centralen. Go up towards "Sergels Torg". Go straight ahead, just outside the station is a black and white square (Sergels Torg). Cross it, but keep the right-hand side of this square. After 300 meters or so, you should see a slope (also black and white) going up. Go up this slope and you should be just outside "Gallerian". Enter and the store is one story up, almost visible from the entrance.

Good selection.

Located one floor up on the right hand side if entering from

Hamngatan. Nearest subway is T-centralen.

Good selection, ok prices, wargames, board games, rpg, "german games" PC, Mac. The best store, except for books or miniatures.

Yes, the tables outside means there's a cafe right beside it.

2. Absolut Spel

From subway station "Hötorget", look for Olofsgatan, there is a white church at the end of that street (see pic on right). Walk on the right hand side and after 200 m you should see the store signs.
The store is in the cellar, and not visible from the outside, but it's signs are.

Absolut Spel

Olofsgatan 12.

No homepage or e-mail info.

Small selection with little rotation. Better selection of RPG stuff. Seems to sell mainly collectible card games, but it does have a shelf with used board games. Worth a visit, but do not expect too much.
They have some computer games, but judging from their Mac games, the selection is old and overpriced.

absolut (note white church)

The signs of the store are visible from the outside.

3. Tennsoldaten ("Tin Soldier")

Take the subway to S:t Eriksplan. Find "Rörstrandsgatan" and walk down it on the right-hand side. Near the end after 250 meters you should find the store.

Mainly tin figures, but a good selection, decent prices and enthusiast staff.

Some books, a handful boardgames.

4. Science-fiction bokhandeln.
("Science fiction bookstore")
From the subway Gamla Stan "Old Town" walk east till (straight ahead as you leave the subway station) you get to a bustling shopping street "Västerlånggatan". Take a right along the street and the store will appear on the right hand side.

Science-fiction bookhandeln Vasterlanggatan 48 in the "Old Town", Central Stockholm.

http://www.sfbok.se/ (supposedly has english pages)

As the name implies, a bookstore, but has the occasional board game (but only lighter stuff), and GW stuff. PC games, videos, etc.
They have very good information if they have stuff and when they will get it (at least if it is books)
Book prices are generally good, but other stuff can be expensive.

5. Games Workshop

From the mall "Gallerian" (where Tradition is located) exit east (at ground floor this is the exit located in the middle of the mall). Cross the street.

Only GW stuff. (Warhammer etc)

Never been inside, not interested.
