Disclaimer. This is an Applescript which accounts for the primitive interface and slow execution (One day I will make a "real" program of this)
What is it and what does it do?
This program sorts files that you have downloaded from the Internet
according to their remote position. Now any web browser worth it's
salt saves the name of the original article in the Finder comments,
you can see this by selecting a file and pressing Command-I in the
Finder . This means the files can be sorted into folders according to
their remote names. Drop the files on this program and it will do
just that. This will allow you to browse the files locally, without
having an Internet connection up and running.
It can also rename the files to match their remote name, see
Rename by html comment.
(There should be more documentation here, but this will have to do it
for now)
System requirements and installation
You need to have Applescript installed to run this program.
Installation is simple, just put the programs where you can find
them.
Operation
Drop files downloaded from the Internet onto this program Sort by
Html comment.
Answer the two questions that come up, (If you do not know what
to answer, answer Full and Add alias) and the files
will be sorted according to how they were organised on the remote
server.
