Main threats: Soulblighter.
Hints:
Soulblighter can be healed by the Journeyman so he goes away.
If Soulblighter sees the dwarves he will attack them so move the others forward first.

My first attempt (of sorts, I had to redo the first part since my saves failed), would really have like fewer casualties, but this film includes the what happens if your dwarfs do not throw far enough.

We arrived where Alric had teleported us. His orders were to go to the Devoid and throw Balor's head in. I do not see how it can make a difference, but then I do not see how his head can be this alive. |

Have a dwarf pick up the head and move your units northeast to the ford. |

"I've got a bad feeling about this" I heard someone say.
At that moment a wight approached from the river. |
|
Your opponents will be soulless across the river, wights in it and coming from behind. I suggest using the archers at the river and the dwarfs to cover the rear. |
|
The archers fired away at the wight in the river. Then wights appeared from behind and our position became precarious. "Hehehe, dont worry sonny" the dwarfs said and tossed grenades with abandon. |

Use the cautious approach, slowly clearing the river of wights, and proceed to taking out the soulless and fetches. The dwarves in rear should be your primary attention when wights approach from this direction. Move the dwarfs away from their targets as soon as they toss a grenade so they do not get caught in the wight blast. |

"It's clear", the archers called. But then more soulless arrived and they retreated back across the river. Finally the way was cleared and we moved across when more wights appeared. We barely got away. |

Once the first defenders at the river are cleared a new wave will arrive. Once the river crossing is cleared for real, get the archer across and up into supporting position on the other side, because a new wave of wights will arrive in the river. |
|
"Where is that damned hole. No! more fetches" It seemed there was quite a force arrayed against our little troop, but we got through again. "Join the legions and meet lots and lots and lots of interesting enemies" |

Beyond the river you will encounter some groups of fetches and soulless. They should be no trouble if you kept you archers alive. |

Finally we spotted the devoid, but one us had also
spotted something else. |
|
The devoid can be found southeast of the ford. Follow the tracks made in the ground. It's guarded by Soulblighter and a few soulless. Also watch out for the fetches patrolling the area. See the film to see what happens if you do not. |

We approached the devoid and Soulblighter charged us fighters, he cut down two us my companions before the Journeyman healed him. For a while he was stunned and I got of a few blows, but then he turned into crows and fled. Some fetches hit our flank and hit us bad. |

Move your guys forward with the Journeyman close behind. Tell him to heal Soulblighter and the bastard will go away. I have no doubt he will be back for Myth II. |

The dwarf tossed the head into the devoid... and missed. The dwarves managed to dislodged it by throwing grenades at the side of the hole. Wights approached from the west, and that is all I remember. |
Have the remaining troops clear up the area and the dwarves toss the head into the devoid. |
