The Tale

The Map

The explanation

For the first time in over several months I felt hope. The undead were fighting each other. Maybe. Our archers picked of a few and suddenly the road was clear.

You start watching a skirmish among the Fallen. Let them fight it just pick of anyone coming to you and the occasional others to get kills. Let this will be your standard tactic.

We went forward.
"Captn, look there, the enemy" "They are on the right too."
"We are surrounded."
"Nonsense, pull back"
We pulled back and heard the sound of fighting. After a while 2 fetches came towards us. The archers stopped em.

Advance north to a crossroads between the road you are on and a cliff on the right. Troops should be advancing from both sides. Retreat back to The first cliff on the right. There's a small hill there for your archers, where they can pick off survivors.

"Lets try this route"
We went east on the rocks till we came to a new fork, and met another party of undead. We retreated as they fought it out. The soulless came after us, in such number it took quite some time to kill them all.

Follow the right cliffy fork. When it forks you should be approached by another group of warring undead. Again retreat. You might want to even the odds by killing a few soulless.

We went back to the fork and sent out warriors to recon. The attracted the attention of two new forces. We retreated hoping they would destroy each other. It was stupid. One force was much larger and survived pretty much intact. We had to fight. The last thrall went down right in front of us.

Go back to the fork and send a few warriors going in either direction, the south fork first. You should attract the attention of two groups, one from either fork. The south group is more dangerous and harder to attract. It contains 3 fetches which will clinch it's victory with the other group. You might want to even the odds by taking potshots at the fetches.

We went north from the fork

Take the north fork and keep going as far north as possible and then go east. You might encounter more parties. Again wait and take out any survivors.

"There he is, he has not seen us yet"

The last party should be a lone fetch chased by thralls. You are now very close to Scaripant. Wade the waters to the NE corner of the map. You should see Scaripant and his large shadow. Do not advance yet.

Kalevi was chosen by lot to draw the attention of Scaripant. The archers lined up where Scaripant could not see them, but where they could fire upon him if he got closer. Kalevi walked closer to Scaripant, "Yoo, bastard"
"Come on you cowards, finish me!!" When Scaripant came closer the archers started firing and Kalevi ran back. The shade fired of a spell at him, an explosion close, but he survived. And then the archers brought the Shade down.

Keep the warriors near the water. See the small hill almost within bowshot of Scaripant. Line up your warriors behind this so that Scaripant does not see them. Have a single unhurt warrior advance till Scaripant sees him and follows into archery range. Retreat him back towards the rest of the warriors slowly, keeping him the nearest target, but keep out of sword-range. Properly executed the warrior takes a spell hit, but survives. Victory.
