Mission: Find 4 gems and put them in the dish at the portal in the northwest. Only your dwarves can carry the gems.
Difficulties: None. Well, figuring out the obelisks.
Main threats: The big queen spiders who bite with paralysis, like that of a wight.
Hints:
If you move close to a pillar, it will light up.
If you move closer to a lit pillar, it will kill you units.
If you move close to 2 pillars, only the first approached will light up.
So light up one pillar with a single unit and move past another with the rest.
Make sure the unit at the lit pillar is not part of a preset. If you move him by accident you will be sorry.
There are four pillars, behind each is a glowing gem. Have a dwarf pick it up, and throw it in the dish in front of the portal in the northwest.
Keep the dwarves in the back. Since there will be no packed formations of enemies, there are not very useful in the front. The archers and berserkers can easily deal with the spiders.
At some places on the map, units will appear. Some friendly, some enemy. If you react quickly, there is a chance of getting renforcements.

You will arrive in the middle of a cave with 5 arms. Four of the arms are protected by a zapping pillar, the fifth has a portal. Find the gem behind each the four and you can escape through the portal. |

There will be spiders. Have your archer practice while moving your berserkers north a bit to between a stalagmite and the wall.(see left). Myrmidons and more berserkers will come through. A quick rush from your berserkers will give you reinforcements. |

Send a single berserker away to a pillar as he gets close it will light up. Put him in guard mode. Make sure he is not part of a preset. You can now move your units safely past all the other pillars. This level is very repetive. So I will say this only once. Spiders are patrolling close to the pillar Move you archers up in line and let them fire Have the berserkers close by preferably in formation 5 on the sides of the archers. |

When all spiders are taken out, move towards the next set of spiders. No need to rush, jsut get your units into position and if there are no spiders in range for a while, inch further towards those that you see. |

After a while all the remaining spiders will come
running. When they get close, charge with the berserkers and
stop the archers. |

Have your dwarf pick up the glowing gem. Select dwarf, click on gem. One down, three to go. |

|
You decide the order you want to do the caves. |
|
|
|
When you have picked up three gems, all your dwarves should each have a gem. Have them throw it in the dish at the portal (see left). Select a gem carrying dwarf, press T and click in the dish. You should be able to see if a dwarf carries a gem on the top status bar. |

Clean up the last cave and throw the gem in the dish. Yawn. |
