"Ghostface,
catch the blast of a hype verse,
my clock burst,
leave in a hears,
I did worse".

those were the first lines heard on "Enter The Wu-Tang 36 Chambers" a hip-hop classic. Dennis Coles (thatīs his real name) was born in the Stapleton Projects and raised in Shaolin, N.Y., he entered the clan faceless, he wore a robber-style stocking mask, cause he had some unspecified unfinshed business with the law at the time. Ghost has continued to get in trouble with the law. In nine eight he did a couple of months for an old crime he had comitted.

Back in nine five Chef Raekwon droped his solo project "Only Built 4 Cuban Linx..." featuring his partner in rhyme and crime Ghostface Killah, this was the album that really exploded Ghostface or Tony Starks (one of his many aliases) onto the world-wide rap scene.

In November 1996 Ghost droped his own solo effort entitled "Ironman" produced by the almighty Rza. The album proved that Ghost is one of the best lyricists in the clan, and in the world.

Here is a quote from Rza "Lyrically, Ghost's new album will strike your ear the way Rakim's first album did. As far as lyric content, Ghost has no competition right now: These are some of the best rhymes I've heard in eight years.... He's gonna put his mask back on and strangle those motherfuckers.... His lyrics are intimidating to other MCs; you wouldnt want to say a lyric after he finishes his rhyme."
