This is not the burial
but he resurrection

Over the last few years especially people from all around the world, myself included, have been saying that the Wu Tang clan has been loosing is grip as one of the most consistent clicks, in terms of the quality of the material that they release. This has been for a variety of reason, including the fact that the artists themselves don’t want to give us the listeners what we want to hear, but what they want to make. This is the biggest mistake a artist can make when doing album, you should never evolve more than your fans want you to, it is simple economics.

However of the last few weeks, I can now say that the grave the Wu Tang Clan had been digging themselves with the sub par album releases of the last two years, is now being filled. Finally it seems that the clan is taking it back to the essence.

Exhibit one to show this is the DJ Mathematics produced 'Publicity' by the GZA, this song is 1999 equivalent to Labels, except the GZA spits off about magazines and promotions. Finally this song brings back that original sound, which has been missing for so long, also I think that it helps because the GZA is on that, he in my view has not rapped on enough tracks in the past and that has been a detriment to the clans recent performance.

Exhibit Number two is Inspektah Decks album which has finally been leeched onto the net in it entirety. While everyone knew this album was going to be one of the best ever people just weren’t sure what type of style deck was going to come with. While I was hoping for him to come with a 'Let me At Em' to flow and beats, the tracks on Uncontrollable Substances show Deck and the rest of the Clan, destroying MC's lyrically, just like Rae and the Gza's albums did way back in 95. Tracks like Grand Prix' 'This one' 'Settlement' 'Legal Tender' and every ones favourite 'Rec room' all highlight the certified rough shit that is the original clan, that we have been missing for a long time.

Finally is the Wu Syndicates, it seems once again here that Mathematics and the RZA have taken the beats back to that hardcore rough and rugged shit which everyone is after. I haven’t heard tracks like this that hit as hard for a long time, probably since Tical. It is what has been missing from the clan for a long time as they all explored this dance rap, commercial shit that has been so popular in the last few years.

Hopefully we can finally say that the Wu is resurrecting itself from the Grave that they dug a few years back with average beats and crappy lyrics. It is about time that this has occurred, and while they have gained a lot more fans in this time they have also lost a lot of respect from people in the game for the way they went.
