Beef in The Bridge - 99 01 31
Picture this, it´s 2am in Kingsgrove, a suburb in Sydney Australia, 35 Degrees Celsius and close to 100% humidity, Suddenly all radio and TV is a blaze with the following news, 'Noreaga and Tragedy Khadafi have once again exchanged blows in there now long going beef with eachother'. 'SAY WHAT?' Although this situation probably never happened it does summarise the interest that’s being seen across the world in relation to the latest 'beef in the bridge'. I receive about 50 mails a week regarding Queensbridge and peeps in Queens, of those mails about 75% has been asking about the beef between Khadafi and Nore. This beef has been going on for well over a year now contrary to the populous belief that it started with Noreaga's album NORE and Tragedy's Bloodtype. Today im’ma inform y’all to what the dilly exactly is. The current beef between Nore and Trag is definitely gonna set off at the very least a war on vinyl that'll make the legendary '86-'87 BDP..Juice Crew NYC bridge and borough wars pale in comparison. Already we have 2 song from Trag dissing Nore and 2 from Nore dissing Trag. About a year and a half ago shit started to get major hectic in Queensbridge, Cormega split from the firm leaving a major gap there. CNN burst on the scene and one Capone was sent to prison. For those who don’t know much about Queensbridge, Tragedy and Capone are really close while Noreaga actually isn’t from the bridge at all but Leftrak in Queens. Originally Capone and Noreaga who met in prison were both signed to 25 To Life Records, Tragedy's company. However after Capone went to prison and CNN's album The War Report went gold Noreaga started to feel that he was owed more money than he was getting from Tragedy.
Basically Noreaga felt that Tragedy was ripping him outta big
dollars. During this time Tragedy had been putting out a lot of songs
on mixtapes, including joints such as Illuminati. As a result of
feeling ripped off, while still on 25 To Life Entertainment Noreaga
wrote a song called Noremanti, a diss to Tragedy and Iman Thugs song
Illuminati, this was the song that started all the beef between the
two. Still today if you ask Noreaga why he did that song and left
he'll say its because he was being ripped off.
Well Noreaga side of the story about being ripped off isn’t the true
story behind all this beef. I ain’t wanna hit Nore up too hard but he
was greedy, plain and simply, he wanted the money. What Noreaga forgot
was when he originally signed his contract with Tragedy he didn’t know
how to rap to a beat, he didn’t have a style, he was just raw with
some ability to write, effectively he wasnt shit, however Tragedy
changed all that Tragedy made him the professional he is today.
From my sources which are close to 25 To Life Tragedy Khadafi stepped
in heavily when Capone went to jail to finish off The War Report, not
only did he write a majority of the album, he produced a majority of
it as well. Check out Tragedy’s basic story Of recent we have seen Noreaga hit back at Tragedy with ‘Halfway Thug part II’ trying to diss Tragedy because he has gone from being the Muslim intelligent hoodlum, to his present day Tragedy Khadafi thugged out life. Noreaga is pretty hypocritical in making such attacks on Tragedy. Tragedy has actually taken it back to the streets with his new work, something that Noreaga says he is doing on his album intro, but really isn’t at all. He is just after the money. This whole beef saga which continues to grow, with Trag recently releasing another hit at Noreaga, in my opinion is all Noreaga and his greed’s fault. It will continue to grow and engulf more of the bridge until Capone gets out and helps settle things down. However, Tragedy isn’t the only one that Noreaga has had beef with in the bridge, shortly after this beef with Trag started, members of Nore’s click started getting heated with the Infamous Mobb. The Infamous Mobb basically were saying that by dissing Tragedy Nore was fronting on Capone who was locked up. I’ve been told that as a result of this run in Ty Nitty from the Infamous Mobb ended up getting shot by Nore’s boys for holding down Capone’s rep. This could explain the lack of QB associates on Noreaga album, including Mobb Deep and Cormega. A final point on this beef, one night after a Source fashion show in Vegas, Noreaga was on The Sources chat page, when I asked him the question was Body In The Trunk a diss to Cormega (u just gotta look at the lyrics it all fits) Noreaga refused to tell me it was or wasn´t, which tends to tell me that it is a Cormega Diss. Ahhh Noreaga is now QUEENS official madd rapper of the moment, who need to wise up or loose a lot of his fans by bullshit fronting What Y’all think?????? |
