General:

Build 1984 by Kaldnes Mek. Verksted A/S Norway. The following rules and regulations to be complied with: -Germanishe Lloyd +100 A4, E2 (chemical type 2) Tanker for oil + MC aut, -Swedish/Finnish Ice class 1B, -Svenska sjöfartsverkets Regulations, -International Convention of Safety of Life at Sea with the London Protocol 1978, -International Load Line Convention 1966, -IMO Chemical Code.Res A 212 (VII), -Marpol 1973 with the London protocol 1978 and -Hull designed for IMO type 2 (13F).

Tank configuration:

2 x 8 cargo tanks divided port & starboard by center bulkhead and 2 x 1 Slop tanks situated amidships, building 5 natural segregation's of: 5351 cbm, 6734 cbm, 837 cbm, 5901 cbm and 6269 cbm. Double skin and double hull for segregated ballast in cargo area.

Deck tanks:

2 x 70 cbm for tankwashing water - Bornemann screwpump 125 cbm/h.

Tank coating:

Cargo and slop tanks, Carbon Zink II.

Cargo pipelines:

Cross manifold with five 14 inch mains, each connected to four, respectively two cargo tanks, building five natural segregation's.

Cargo pumps:

Separate hydraulically driven deep-well pumps, FRAMO SDS 6, 325 cbm/h for each cargo tank. For Slop tanks two deep-well pumps, FRAMO SDS 5, 100 cbm/h. One portable hydraulically driven FRAMO pump, TK 4, 70 cbm/h. Total simultaneous pumping capacity of 3250 cbm/h.

Cargo control system / Closed loading:

Cargo and ballast systems remote controlled and monitored on computers (SAAB/Valmet) from cargo control room. Closed loading system (acc. to SOLAS 74/78 reg.59) by return vapor line, high-high level alarms and remote temperature readout plant in cargo control room.

Cargo heating:

Primary and secondary thermal oil system capable of increasing cargo temperature 18° C in 24 hours and maintaining 60° C at environmental temperatures 20° C in air and 0° C in sea water.

Tank cleaning:

Four portable tank washing machines for hot water. Two BLOKSMA butterworth heaters, each 62 cbm/h, 0-80° C.

Ballast pumps:

2 x 700 cbm/h centrifugal pumps connected to a 14 inch circuit pipeline system with 8 inch branches and remote controlled valves to each water ballast tank.

Main engine:

One MAK 6M 601-8430 BHP (6200 kW) at 425 rpm.

Reduction gear:

Tacke HSN 1060 C 425/124 rpm with PTO 425/1800 rpm.

Controllable pitch propeller:

KaMeWa Hub 144XF1/4 124 rpm.

Rudder:

For harbor maneuvering 65 degrees, conventional type.

Bow thruster:

KaMeWa Type 2000/1200 HP/AS-CP electrically driven, controlled from bridge and bridge wings.

Auxiliary Engines:

Three diesel generators MAK 8M 332, 720 rpm each connected to a 1230 kW generator.

Shaft generator:

818 kW connected to reduction gear PTO.

Emergency generator:

90 kW/135 bhp.

Thermal oil boilers:

Two heavy fuel oil fired boilers, Wanson TPC 5000 5,0 G cal/h. Economizer for main engine, Wanson D/FL/895 0,895 G cal/h. Economizer for auxiliary engines, Wanson D/FL/325 0,325 G cal/h.

Windlass and mooring winches:

Hydraulically driven. Two separate windlasses, each connected to two automatic mooring drums on each forecastle and aft deck. Two 10-tons automatic mooring winches arranged on the main deck, each connected to two automatic mooring drums.

Deck cranes:

One 5 ton - 16 m slewing crane for cargo hose handling. One 1,5 ton - 16 m slewing crane aft.
