Act like a pro .... not like a "nuthead".

First off all even if you have the "Super-special- hush-hush deep,deep undercover-equipment"
.... So keep this in mind....
" It´s not the gear that makes the soldier...."
It´s what the soldier can achive and adapt to the gear he have at the moment.

Offcourse ! modern and hightech equipment
sometimes makes  it  hell  of   a  lot  easier.

Like Nightgoggels for example. They are
brilliant to have, but think like this. What
will you have to do if you dont have theese goggles.

I just want to make you use your imagination you´ll
understand what I mean by the example here below.

Brefing:

Well let us say you have been watching a trail/path for
some days and you´ve seen the bad guys come and go.
   No your team get orders to go back to friendly lines to
prepare for an ambush on the bad guys some days later
at the same trail. Your comander tells you that there is
no more claymoremines to get.  And your team will have
to do this mission on your own.
  He tells you that he have intel.info. that it will be a large
enemy section this time. The enemy are planning to send
20-30 men along the trail in order to reach a hill with
a radiolink-antenna wich they will try to blow up into small pices.

Preparing:
Your brigade-commander give your group two 50 cal.
sniper rifles and tell you to try making your own mines.
We take a look in the brigade´s wearhouse and find there is some big empty gasbottles.  We need some type of mines to get a real supries-moment so what we will do is to fill the bottles with nuts & bolts and other metalparts, then we make sure the bottles also become filled with some new gas.   Before leaving we also bring some rope because... "- rope always comes handy".

Result:
See the picture below and you will understand how useful some bottles and your imagination can be.  Well ....   there is things who can be even more nasty it´s just your own fantasy who can stop what you not can be able to do.

Summary:

If you dont have the gear.
Take a good look around you and see what you´ll be able to find i.e. in "civvie" surroundings / buildings.
